All Change at Panther Telecom!

When we started Panther Telecom, four years ago, we chose the name Panther as we felt it reflected a number of positive qualities – fast, agile and ready to act.
However, we have encountered many communication problems over the years when making initial phone contact with customers and suppliers. They often tell us they have difficulty in hearing and understanding the name ‘Panther Telecom’, and we have to spell it out on every call.
This is gradually becoming more of a problem as we expand and grow, particularly following the recent launch of our Hosted VoIP site which has generated a lot of new interest.
So, after much deliberation, we have decided to change to Jaguar Telecom. Not only does the word Jaguar have an unmistakable sound but the essence of who we are remains intact and we can keep our unmistakable logo.
Please be assured that our name change is exactly that…and nothing else. The registered company number, VAT number, bank account and all contact numbers will remain exactly as they are now.
Our email addressees will be changing to have the suffix of @jaguartelecom.co.uk and you can start using these immediately. Our website will also be changing to www.jaguartelecom.co.uk in due course.

As the company continues to grow we have decided to relocate to larger premises, so in addition to our name change we will be based at the following address from 30th August:

Our new site is dedicated entirely to Hosted Telephony and showcases the benefits of the service, whilst being educational and informative.
VoIP (voice over internet protocol) is growing at an exponential pace and, in time, looks set to become the default communication method for all telephone conversations, globally.

Jargon Buster – Number 1 !
October 16th, 2010Posted in Panther News | | No Comments »When we designed the Panther Telecom website a few years ago, we took the decision to try and help people navigate the confusing world of telecoms jargon by including a ‘jargon buster’ page.
This soon grew to become the largest page on the website, as we realised just how much jargon there is out there.
However, we had no idea just how much traffic this page would generate and it seems there are a lot of people out there in need of jargon translation.
Interestingly, at a time when lots of companies are spending money to get to the top of Google search results, we seem to achieved just that, without even trying.
Give it a go yourself – try typing ‘telecoms jargon’ or ‘telecoms jargon buster’ into Google and see who comes up at number one.
So, next time you see something on your phone bill that you don’t understand, you know where to go for the answer

Panther Outsource First Line Support
April 18th, 2010Posted in Panther News | | No Comments »In the complicated and technical world of telecoms and broadband, it is inevitable that problems will sometimes occur. Up until now we have handled all fault logging and first line support ourselves, which isn’t an ideal situation in a small business. As the volume of Panther customers has grown, we have noticed that it has become increasingly difficult to provide our customers with the levels of support we would like.
We are therefore pleased to announce that we have entered into a partnership with a specialist helpdesk company that will provide help and first line technical support for our customers.
Juniper Bridge are a specialist fault handling company based in the UK, and their experts are available 24/7. They are particularly knowledgeable about broadband and line fault handling. As of Monday 18th January 2010, Juniper Bridge took over the handling of all support calls for Panther Telecom.
We are confident that our customers will benefit from an improvement in the speed and efficiency with which their faults are handled as a result of this change.
